Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, inspected reconstruction project sites in the eastern part of the country.
In the reconstruction sites in South and North Hamgyong Provinces he called on all the officials to fulfill their responsibility and role as leading officials in upholding the intention of the Party Central Committee in practice, always bearing in mind that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is always concerned about the living of the people in the disaster-stricken areas.
He stressed the need to timely provide the cement and structural steel for the reconstruction project sites, to take emergency measures to transport materials to Komdok area and other damaged ones and to concentrate on repairing the railway lines and roads.
In Thongchon County, Munchon City, Changdo County and Kumgang County of Kangwon Province, he underlined the need to rebuild breakwaters, etc. according to the accepted method of construction so that they can withstand any tidal wave and typhoon. He also underscored the need for hydraulic engineering research institutes to make a good job of design in line with the requirements of the natural and geographical conditions and the changed global ecological environment.
The field consultative meetings discussed the measures to produce and supply materials and equipment for the reconstruction projects unconditionally and timely by tapping all internal reserves of several sectors of the national economy and by waging production increase campaigns and to let the railway transport sector organize and guide the transportation dynamically from the viewpoint of ensuring the wartime transport.
