Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said.
“Kim Il Sung’s was a noble life of a people’s leader, who regarded ‘The people are my God’ as his motto, applied it to his ideas and leadership and turned it into reality.”
Worshipping is an idea of trusting and following someone and an attitude and stand of ardently admiring him and holding him up with the highest respect. It is the sincerest and solidest devotion of respecting the people ardently and devoting everything for them and this is the fundamental characteristic of worshipping the people.
The popular masses are the worshipping object to be held up and respected—this is the President’s viewpoint on the people. It was the President’s noble ideological viewpoint that not one or two persons or an individual group but all the working people must be regarded as the worshipping object and held them up.
Such viewpoint of his on the people can be found in the words he made to Pak In Jin who was a patri¬arch of the Chondoist religion in the Ryongbuk area before liberation.
In the early winter in 1936 when Pak met Kim Il Sung, he asked the President whether the President worshipped anything.
The President said… Of course I have one that I believe in like the God. It is the people. I have regarded the people as the God and respected them as the God. My God is none other than my people. Nothing but the popular masses is omnipotent and almighty in the world. That is why my lifetime motto is The people are my God.
Regarding and respecting the people as the God—this is the intensification of the President’s viewpoint of giving importance to the people.
His unique viewpoint of regarding and holding up the people as the God crystallizes the noble viewpoint on the people of the President who raised might and value of the people onto the highest phase.
Believing in the people and holding them up as the God was the President’s lifetime motto. The people are my God crystallizes the President’s motto, which has never been found in history.
The DPRK held as the sun the President who held up the people as the God and raised their dignity onto the highest phase for the first time in human history, and as a result, the history of worshipping and loving the people has been started in the DPRK and it has become a country of the people.
