Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Sariwon University of Geology greets its 50th founding anniversary.
The university is a trustworthy base for producing geological prospecting technicians, and the one that has made scientific and technical contributions to the implementation of the Party's policy on resource development and the building of an economic power.
President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the university was founded on September 28, Juche 59 (1970) and the well-organized educational system, including postgraduate course, was set up at it. And he energetically led the work for making good educational conditions at the university and laying material and technical foundation for it.
Along with the progress in the socialist construction, Chairman Kim Jong Il wisely guided the university to steadily improve the education and scientific research and sent modern apparatuses for experiments and practical training and cultural equipment, while bestowing great favors on its teaching staff and students.
The history of the university is marked with devoted efforts of its teaching staff and students who have dedicated themselves with clear conscience and enthusiasm for quest to education and edification, scientific research and studies, bearing in mind the trust of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and the Party in them.
