A meeting for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was held at Kim Il Sung Square here on Saturday.

Taking the tribune were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the Sate Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the Sate Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.

Present there were also Kim Jae Ryong, Ri Il Hwan, Choe Hwi, Pak Thae Dok, Kim Yong Chol, Choe Pu Il, Thae Hyong Chol, O Su Yong, Kim Hyong Jun, Ho Chol Man, Pak Myong Sun, Jong Kyong Thaek, Kim Il Chol, Im Chol Ung, Ri Ryong Nam, Kim Yong Hwan, Pak Jong Nam and other members of the leadership body of the Party Central Committee.

Pak Jong Chon, Kim Su Gil, Kim Jong Gwan and other commanding officers of armed forces organs were also present at the tribune.

Present at reserved seats for guests were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Yang Hyong Sop, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok and other veteran officials who had worked for a long time in the Party, the government and the military.

Present at the reserved seats were also delegates to the celebrations for the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK and working people in Pyongyang.

The meeting was declared open.

Adopted at the meeting was a congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces of the DPRK, on the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Ri Il Hwan, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, read the congratulatory message which is in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the WPK Central Military Commission, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The congratulatory message extended the greatest glory and the warmest congratulations reflective of the deep reverence and the ardent loyalty of all the people for Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, the glorious and invincible revolutionary party, the outstanding leader of the Juche revolution and the great symbol and representative of the dignified state and people of the DPRK.

It highly praised the undying feats etched in the history of the nation the Supreme Leader performed by turning our Party into the powerful political staff and into the great mother Party and building a great flower garden prioritizing the people and an eternal powerful country with the greatest might.

It stressed that the ode to the WPK and hurrahs for the Workers' Party that resound across the country in October with immense excitement and enthusiasm is a strong eruption of the gratitude of all the people of this country to the Supreme Leader, the sun of the destiny taking care of their life and ensuring their happiness.

Adopted was the joint congratulatory message reflecting the unshakable faith and will of the people to single-mindedly trust and follow the Supreme Leader.

Then there was a report of celebration by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly.

He said that the founding anniversary of the WPK which all the people are celebrating with immense joy, excitement and the feelings of solemnity and reverence is the revolutionary holiday of pleasure and fortune, on which they cherish once again the happiness and pride that they have the kindest and greatest Party.

He continued that the WPK, which has carried on the journey of the revolution upholding the programme for sacred struggle for accomplishing the great cause for the independence of the popular masses and the building of a prosperous and powerful country, has brought about great victory and change unprecedented in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years by leading the state and the people to the most correct path.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Un with far-reaching wisdom and unusual and gifted temperament, our Party has developed into the militant and invincible general staff making advance with confidence in the van of the era of independence while holding high the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme and into the promising revolutionary Party in the struggle for materializing the dream and ideal of the people.

The reporter called for devotedly safeguarding the party-building idea and feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and for making confident advance for our state and people and for the victory of the sacred revolutionary cause of Juche.
