Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency released a detailed report on Thursday on the successful celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) by all the people across the country.

The report said that the work has dynamically been pushed forward from the outset of the year to greet the 75th anniversary of the WPK as a genuine holiday for the people and as the revolutionary holiday for cementing the single-minded unity and as a great festival peculiar to socialist Korea from every aspect under the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

The 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK advanced the great immortal programme for breaking through head-on unprecedented grim difficulties and for opening up the broad avenue toward the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, and adopted a decision on celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Party with splendor.

Upon the decision of the Plenary Meeting of the WPK Central Committee, all the people and the service personnel of the People's Army turned out toward the October of glory.

The all-people general advance was a continuation of courageous head-on breakthrough in which they had to overcome manifold challenges and difficulties from the beginning.

The malignant contagious disease that swept the world as a great disaster from the outset of the year has seriously threatened the security of our state and the lives of our people, and a series of harsh natural disasters held us back from making advance.

The whole world accepted 2020 as a year of unavoidable disasters and calamities but the Party Central Committee turned the emergency anti-epidemic work and the campaign for recovery from natural disasters into the drive for defending the people, thereby glorifying this year as a year of great struggle and a year of advance and unity for winning miraculous victories by turning adversity into favorable conditions.

Since the very beginning of the worldwide contagious disease, we have built high the anti-epidemic wall with preemptive and offensive super-class measures.

The might of the great army-people unity has been fully displayed in the sites for rehabilitation from damage hit hard by natural disasters including South and North Hwanghae provinces, Kangwon Province, South and North Hamgyong provinces and Kaesong City.

12 000 Party members from the capital city organized elite divisions and have performed feats in the disaster-stricken areas in South and North Hamgyong provinces, in hearty response to the call of the Party Central Committee.

A perfect anti-epidemic system has been maintained and strengthened nationwide and socialist fairyland villages have appeared one after another in the areas that had been hit hard by natural disasters, further highlighting the image of our style socialism.

The first gun-report of victory in the head-on breakthrough was made in the construction of the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory which was followed by the heated-up drive of self-reliance and self-prosperity in all fields including the construction sites for the Pyongyang General Hospital, water-way project in South Hwanghae Province and power stations and tideland reclamation sites.

Under the outstanding leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the 75th anniversary of the WPK has been celebrated as a grand festival for all the people and a great auspicious event marked by victory and advance, the report said, and continued:

"Hall of Great Leaders and Their Comrades-in-Arms" was wonderfully arranged at the Korean Revolution Museum, making it possible to further advance the glorious history of the Korean revolution and the traditions of single-minded unity.

Commemoration coins were issued on the occasion.

Volume 10 of the enlarged version of "Complete Collection of Kim Il Sung's Works", and Volume 32 of "Complete Collection of Kim Jong Il", a library of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, and "With the Nation," volume 1 of the collection of real-life revolutionary stories, reminiscences "Great Life" (builder of youth power), first lengthy novel "Prosperity" from library "Immortal Milestones" and other books dealing with the personality of the great leaders were published and disseminated.

Performances of the Workers' Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and the joint performance of schoolchildren added to the festive atmosphere.

Lots of meritorious workers from across the country took part in the celebrations in Pyongyang as delegates to the celebrations and as viewers.

National political and cultural festivals for celebrating the October holiday were held almost every day, giving pleasure to the people.

There took place a successful military parade for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the WPK in the presence of Kim Jong Un at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang at 00:00 on October 10.

The historic speech made by Kim Jong Un on the platform of victory and glory the last sentence of which was Long Live our great People greatly impressed the whole country and the whole world.

The military parade demonstrated to the world the proud path of the development of our army which has developed into the invincible army possessed of the weaponry system of the WPK style and the ultra-modern type huge nuclear war armed forces though it was so young as to let carts with machine guns on form a column of mechanized units during the first days after the army building.

There was a grand meeting for celebrating the anniversary, also.

The meeting adopted a congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un who led our Party along the path of only victories and performed undying feats before the country, the revolution, the times and history.

Fully demonstrated at the mass demonstration for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the WPK was people's joy of having glorified our Party's birthday with great glory and pride.

There was torchlight procession of youth and students for celebrating the WPK founding anniversary "Dynamically Forward, Straight along the Party!"

The fireworks display for celebrating the anniversary brilliantly decorated the nocturnal sky of October.

The grand mass gymnastic and artistic performance "Great Guidance" took place at the May Day Stadium on Rungna Islet in the presence of the Supreme Leader in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the WPK.

He had a photo session with the delegates to the celebrations marking the Party founding anniversary and the participants in the military parade to bestow favors on them.

All civilians and service personnel of the country including those involved in the reconstruction campaign watched the October celebrations on TV, feeling as if they took part in the grand festival.
