Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Young vanguard held a meeting at the Kim Il Sung Stadium on Friday. At the meeting they pledged to greet the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with proud victory by dynamically waging the 80-day campaign in hearty response to the call of the great Party.
Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the Youth League, officials concerned, youth and students in Pyongyang.
Pak Chol Min, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, said in his report that it is the unanimous will of the young people to add glory to their honor as members of the advancing group and death-defying corps in every upswing site, holding aloft the slogan of loyalty "Let us advance vigorously towards the Eighth Party Congress by making the flames of the 80-day campaign flare up!"
He stressed the need for all officials of the youth league and young people to give full play to their immense youthful enthusiasm as sons and daughters of the Workers' Party and successors to the revolution, just like their fathers and mothers who adorned their youthful days with worthy exploits, and thus defend the 8th Congress of the Party with remarkable successes.
He called on all young people to perform eye-opening miracles and feats every day during the 80-day campaign with confidence in victory and greet the 8th Congress of the Party with the greatest labor achievements of the Korean youth.
Speeches were made.
The speakers ardently called upon all young people across the country to perform a series of new miracles and innovations through a vigorous drive for increased production and creation with a single mind of loyalty and out of patriotism in every worksite and post.
