Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ha Ryong Nam living in the township of Onsong County, North Hamgyong Province on his 100th birthday.
He, born into a poor slash-and-burn peasant's family before the liberation of the country, keenly experienced how miserable a stateless nation's destiny is, being subject to all sorts of humiliation and insult.
Only after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country, he was granted land, his long-cherished desire. He then devoted himself to farming.
He bravely fought in the People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War. In the post-war period he worked hard as a stockbreeder for decades. During those days he was honored to receive citation of the President.
