Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a letter in the joint name of the co-chairmen of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu on Oct. 5 on behalf of the participants in the international online seminar.
The co-chairmen are Peter Woods, co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairwoman of the Founding Committee of the Soekarno Foundation for Education in Indonesia, Damian Ogbonna, chairman of the African Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, co-chairman of the Arab Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, first vice-chairman of the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea, Victor Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, and Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea.
The letter said that Korean-style socialism is victoriously advancing along the road of independence under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, adding that it gives great encouragement to the people of the countries struggling to build a new society.
It said that the world people were deeply moved by Kim Jong Un inspecting reconstruction sites repeatedly to guide recovery campaigns for ridding the calamity-stricken people of their misfortune and sufferings as soon as possible.
It said that the world progressives are immensely revering and highly praising Kim Jong Un for his adoration of the people, unique independent politics and matchless diplomatic caliber.
In the letter the participants evinced their will to positively support the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) for independent development of the country and global peace and prosperity in the future, too. It also expressed conviction that the forthcoming Eighth Congress of the WPK would be a historic one for hastening the victory in the building of a powerful socialist country. -0-
