10-day Goals of 80-day Campaign Successfully Achieved in Various Sectors of National Economy

Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- 10 days have passed since the 80-day campaign started in the DPRK.

Officials and working people in various sectors of the national economy all out in the 80-day campaign have fulfilled their 10-day plans in production of electricity, iron ore, steel, etc.

In the metallurgical industry the Chollima Steel Complex has carried out its steel production plan for 10 days. Workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex have attained their Juche iron and steel production goals every day.

The Jaeryong Mine has overfulfilled its daily plan by 120 percent on average, thus taking the lead in supplying concentrated iron ore to metal factories.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex has increased fertilizer production by over 150 percent and the February 8 Vinalon Complex achieved successes in its plans for production of a variety of chemicals.

The Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex and the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex have carried out their daily plans by increasing the capacity of every generator.

The East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant and the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant have also overfulfilled their daily production plans.

The workers in the hydro-power stations have operated every generator at full capacity, doing their bit in supplying electricity to the major worksites for building a powerful socialist nation.

The Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex overfulfilled its 10-day coal production plan by 104 percent.

The Songnam, Namdok and Hoean youth coal mines have also overfulfilled their daily coal production plans by giving precedence to tunneling and increasing the coal-cutting and carriage capacities.

The December 5 Youth Mine and the Sijung Mine have overfulfilled their production plans for 10 days.

Miners of the Phungnyon, Jungsan and Yongyu mines have increased production by 130 percent every day by waging a dynamic campaign after laying firm foundations for massive mining and transport.

Production of major generating equipment has increased 1.5 times more than the past in the Taean Heavy Machine Complex.

The Pyongyang General Electric Cable Factory 326 and the Kyongsong Insulator Factory have overfulfilled the goals in production of electric cable and insulator needed in major worksites for the 80-day campaign by 105 and 103 percents every day.

The 10-day plan of the Ministry of Railways for freight transport has been overfulfilled by 102 percent.

Several ports under the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport have overfulfilled their freight transport plans by 120 percent.

Autumn harvest across the country finished on October 20.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill has carried out its daily goals without fail.

The Sinuiju Textile Mill and the Hamhung Woolen Mill have overfulfilled the production of cotton yarn and ordinary cloth by 119 and 105 percents for 10 days.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill and the Hamhung, Songchon and Kangso silk mills have overfulfilled their production plans. The Anju and Kumya silk mills have also carried out their daily plans by 130 percent.

The Songyo Knitwear Factory has carried out its daily plan by more than 110 percent and the Pyongyang Children's Knitted Goods Factory and the Aeguk Knitwear Factory have implemented their plans by 206 and 170 percents.

The workers of the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory and the Ryuwon Footwear Factory are taking the lead in the campaign after carrying out their yearly plans.

Workers are campaigning for joint innovation in many units including the Pyongyang Foodstuff Complex, the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, the Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory and the Kanggye Pencil Factory. -0-
