Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- Threshing is now at its height in the countryside of the DPRK.
Unfavorable conditions like low percentage of sunshine and consecutive downpours, flooding and typhoons affected this year's farming. But officials and agricultural workers of the farms across the country minimized crop damage by ensuring the cultivation of crops in latter half of growth in a responsible manner under the technical direction of agricultural scientists.
Farms in South Hwanghae Province, one of the country's granaries, have registered high threshing records every day through a rational allocation of manpower and machines to fields.
Meanwhile, the full operation of threshers has been ensured at farms in Pyongyang City which brought about good results by using self-made small-sized rice harvesters and those in North Phyongan Province.
The same is true of farms in North Hamgyong Province.
To conclude this year's agricultural work successfully and concentrate efforts on the preparations for next year's farming is one of the main targets to be hit during the ongoing 80-day campaign. -0-
