Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The Delicacy House under Okryu Restaurant is located on the bank of the Taedong River flowing through Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.
The two-storied house specializes in serving national and foreign dishes. It is supplied on a regular basis with sturgeon, terrapin and other food materials.
The house is associated with warm love of Chairman Kim Jong Il for the people.
The Chairman initiated the construction of a modern delicacy house affiliated to Okryu Restaurant and gave a precious instruction for its construction on several occasions. And he provided the best equipment and utensils to the house.
When visiting the house in October Juche 99 (2010), he said that it should play a role of the pedigree establishment in the country's cookery development and famous dishes should be invented there to spread across the country.
Since then, the house has served such famous dishes as sturgeon, quail and terrapin dishes, national dishes like Pyongyang cold noodle and mullet peppery soup, and world dishes like spaghetti for ten years. In the course, it invented new dishes and cooking methods.
The house won at national cooking contests for tens of times. -0-
