Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- The 80-day campaign involving the whole party and all the people is being waged in the DPRK so as to successfully complete this year's struggle till the year end and to greet the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with great political enthusiasm and labor achievements. The Korean people are waging the campaign, more fully displaying the spirit which they gave full play to in the campaign to greet the 75th founding anniversary of the Party with great victory and progress.
It is a tradition of our Party to achieve fresh victory and change in socialist construction by waging campaigns to greet epochal occasions of the revolution with great upswings.
Our Party called for waging the 70-day campaign in Juche 63 (1974), the year when the great socialist construction started.
The yearly plan was over-fulfilled by the 70-day campaign, which opened up broad vistas of carrying out the 6-year plan.
The 40th founding anniversary of the DPRK was successfully greeted by the 200-day campaign in 1988 and afterwards, another 200-day campaign was launched in the same spirit as was displayed in the former.
During the vigorous campaign, all the Party members and other working people successfully achieved the high goals for all the sectors of the national economy.
The 150-day and 100-day campaigns were also waged in 2009 to make a breakthrough in building a thriving nation and during those campaigns successes were made in different sectors of the national economy and
"speed of Huichon", new speed of the era, was created.
The 70-day campaign was waged in 2016 on the threshold of the 7th Congress of the Party. Throughout the campaign the nationwide production plans were over-fulfilled and lots of industrial establishments were completed, inaugurated and remodeled.
At the 200-day campaign in the wake of the 70-day campaign, achievements were made one after another and unprecedented upsurges brought about in the production and construction. -0-
