Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) — DPRK Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, inspected the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Chongchongang-Phyongnam irrigation waterway construction site.
He looked round the turbine shop and integrated power production control room in the thermal power plant, where the workers are increasing production every day in the spirit of overfulfilling the October plan of electricity production in order to brilliantly greet the 8th Congress of the Party. There he discussed the ways to increase power production and urged officials to meticulously organize the management on the socialist economic management principle and the socialist system of responsible business operation.
At the gas producer and compressor shop of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex he called for meticulously organizing the management of equipment to meet the technical rules and standard regulations, and correctly ensuring periodic equipment repairing for fully producing and providing fertilizer.
At the waterway construction site he underscored the need to give precedence to supplying materials so as to step up the final-stage task of waterway tunnels and to finish at an early date the setting up of the sluice gate of dam, being well aware of the importance of the waterway construction in carrying out the Party’s policy for irrigation in rural areas.
The consultative meetings in field called on the officials, scientists and technicians in the fields of power and chemical industries to take scientific and technological measures for putting the production on a normal basis through the introduction and recycling of locally available equipment, raw and other materials, and discussed the issue of qualitatively completing the waterway project.
