One day in October 1957 President Kim Il Sung met students of the then Tongju Middle School in Pyoktong County, North Phyongan Province.

Embracing the students warmly, the President asked them tenderly what they would do in future and supported their hopes.

When accompanying officials told him it was time to leave, he said that he would like to have a photograph taken with the children before the sunset.

After the photo session was over, he took over a camera from a cameraman and said that he would take a photo for them.

After that, he asked them warmly if there was anyone who had anything to request.

When a student asked him to send photos without fail, the other children joined the boy in the entreaty.

The President made a promise to do so with a beaming smile on his face. A few days later, he sent photos as he had promised.
