Irrigation facilities are being readjusted and reinforced across the DPRK.
This year alone, the second-stage irrigation canal project in South Hwanghae Province has been wonderfully completed, and waterways have been expanded, underground water facilities including underground reservoirs built, irrigation structures repaired and pumping equipment produced extensively across the country.
14 irrigation structures have been repaired in a short span of time in Jungsan County of South Phyongan Province. Vigorous efforts are being made throughout the country to rehabilitate and readjust medium and small river embankments, irrigation canals, irrigation structures, spillways, sluices and pumping equipment by the end of this year.
Efforts are also made in Pyongyang City, North Phyongan Province and different other areas to secure enough irrigation water for next year's farming.
