Members of the divisions of Party members from the capital city held a meeting at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, on Friday to make a report of loyalty to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The core Party members in the capital city who volunteered to be at the forefront of the campaign to defend the people with the greatest trust of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un have set new examples of the times of the campaign to carry through the ideas of the Party and defend its policies while giving full play to their indomitable stamina and great combat capability.

The heroic efforts of the core Party members who fully demonstrated their loyalty to the Party and the spirit of selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people added glory to the great October holiday and inspired all the people across the country who have turned out in the 80-day campaign to perform fresh feats.

The platform was taken by Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Yong Hwan, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, commanding officers and exemplary members of the divisions of Party members from the capital city and leading officials of Party and administrative organs in Pyongyang.

All the participants bowed to the portraits of the smiling President and Chairman.

Commander of the First Division of Party Members from the Capital City Choe Hwi, who is member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and vice-chairman of the Party Central Committee, delivered a report at the meeting.

He made a report to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the eternal leaders of the WPK and the Korean people and the sun of Juche, that the Party members of the capital city successfully carried out the combat duty given by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

He said that despite harsh conditions and environment, all the members of the divisions waged an offensive of loyalty, a fierce 24-7 fight and a lightning campaign to build single-storey houses and low-storey apartment houses for hundreds of families and repaired roads and river embankments strong enough to stand any floods, burning with a firm resolve to put the noble plan of the Party Central Committee into reality even at the cost of their lives.

Always cherishing in their hearts the question where Party members should stand and what they have to do when the country is in a hard time and has got hurt, they devoted their pure loyalty and clear conscience to the construction of houses and rendered both moral and material assistance to the disaster-stricken people, he said.

He referred to the fact that the members of the divisions of Party members of the capital city could fully display their might as the special detachment of the Party Central Committee as there were the great trust and loving care shown by the Supreme Leader, who visited the distant and dangerous disaster-hit areas before others, sent an open letter, extended militant encouragement and thanks to them in his speech at the military parade for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the WPK and looked after them all the time.

He expressed the resolve of all the Party members of the capital city to fully exhibit their unrivalled combat capability and valour in the all-out offensive to victoriously wind up the 80-day campaign of loyalty and implement the great programme to be set forth by the Eighth Party Congress in the fighting spirit they displayed in the relief operation.

Upon authorization of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, Pak Pong Ju made a congratulatory speech on behalf of the Party Central Committee.
