Almost every day the officials of Sonchon County look round its township early in the morning ascertaining what they have missed out in its construction and the livelihood of its inhabitants and what work they have to do and discussing in detail what they will do to rectify the related shortcomings.
Throughout the daylong construction and reconstruction of the county the senior official of its Party committee and all its other officials have been ordinary workers, builders and materials suppliers. They have always taken charge of the most difficult building operations, travelled a distance without hesitation to fill up the shortage of materials if any and incessantly studied what should be done to erect all their buildings to perfection.
All this was done with difficulty for the people under the banner of self-reliance. It ultimately bore fine fruit.
Dozens of modern multi-storied apartment blocks and one-story dwellings were built and a briquette factory was commissioned in a year. The production processes of a foodstuff factory were automated for its products to come off the flow line, sterilized and freed from dust. A super pottery was rebuilt to produce various kinds of chinaware and sanitary ceramic ware.
This year many dwellers in the county removed to new houses.
Moreover, although their lives expired the storage batteries for street lamps were all recycled to illuminate the streets brightly at night.
Firmly believing that they cannot at all rest contented with what they have done for the people the officials of the county still do the rounds of its township at dawn as always.
