Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The core Party members of the capital city, in hearty response to the great appeal of Supreme Leader

Kim Jong Un, courageously rushed to the foremost front for defending the people to eradicate the great natural disaster that had hit North and South Hamgyong Provinces and perfectly carried out without an inch of deviation the noble intention of the Party Central Committee.

Thanks to the over 70-day dedicated struggle waged by the divisions of Party members from the capital city, a heroic myth was created in which gorgeous model villages have appeared and huge rehabilitation projects such as road project and river improvement have been wonderfully concluded in the shortest period in the areas that had been hit by natural disaster in Hongwon County, Riwon County and Hochon County in South Hamgyong Province and Kim Chaek City and Orang County of North Hamgyong Province,.

As soon as they arrived in the disaster-ravaged areas, they all got down to building houses, before arranging their lodging quarters, and opened up the road of advance for rehabilitation although road, bridges and railways were severely destroyed.

The members of Division No. 1 of Party members from the capital city finished spreading more than 6,300 cubic meters of sand-stone mixture, cutting over 10,000 cubic meters of ground and rearraning the area in just one day in the disaster-stricken areas in Hongwon and Riwon counties. They then pushed forward the construction by carrying out different processes like foundation concrete depositing and brick-laying in a three-dimensional way.

Thanks to their devoted efforts, more than 140 modern dwelling houses were built in Unpho Workers' District and Kyongpho Workers' District in Hongwon County and in Haksadae-ri, Riwon County in just 18 days since the ground breaking.

The members of Division No. 2 of the Party members from the capital city arrived in the disaster-hit area in Kim Chaek City by making hundreds of kilometers of day and night forced march. They first opened up the transport road and took measures for the provision of building materials and braved manifold difficulties to staunchly push forward the projects.

As a result of their all-out offensive, happy fairyland villages took their shape in Chundong-ri, Unho-ri and Sokho-ri in Kim Chaek City in a short period.

They wonderfully completed quality dwelling houses with the same sincerity of building their own native villages and houses and thus brilliantly accomplished their duty before the October holiday.

The divisions of Party members from the capital city who defended the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea with proud labor achievements again rushed to areas which had had the worst damage and which were left behind in the rehabilitation project.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in the significant military parade for celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK spoke highly of the members of the divisions of Party members from the capital city as patriots as they headed for other rehabilitation areas, not for Pyongyang where their beloved homes are, even though they had carried out the reconstruction duty entrusted to them. He extended militant encouragement and thanks to them.

Those of Division No.1 of Party members from the capital city moved to the disaster-ravaged area in Hochon County and rebuilt the damaged roads extending 8 kilometers in three days and finished building low-story dwelling houses for tens of families in a little over half a month and grappled with river improvement and bridge construction.

Those of Division No. 2 of Party members from the capital city not only completed the construction of dwelling houses but the road pavement extending thousands of meters in the rehabilitation campaign in Orang County. They then planted more than 900 fruit trees, and over 400 trees along the roads and turfed the area.

During the 24-7 campaign days of creating miracles and performing feats, splendid single-story and low-story dwelling houses for hundreds of families mushroomed in the disaster-ravaged areas in Hongwon County, Riwon County, Hochon County, Kim Chaek City and Orang County and roads and rivers and streams were recovered to their former state.

True to the high intention of the Party Central Committee to share weal and woe with the people by mixing with them and getting close to them in difficulty and hardships, the Party members from the capital city comforted those disaster-affected people and helped them both materially and morally.

Despite tight project schedule, they repaired dwelling houses and public buildings in the neighboring villages.

The proud achievements made by the elite divisions of Party members from the capital city have contributed to further glorifying this significant year as the year of struggle, advance and unity.
