The new term manifests revolutionary character and proud tradition of the working class in the DPRK.
On July 19, 2015 when he gave field guidance to Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said that it was more correct to call the working class in the DPRK the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il than to call them the advanced working class. The Supreme Leader put forward the DPRK working class as the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in his classic works including a historic letter sent to the participants in the 7th Meeting of General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea on October 25, 2016.
The essence of the new term is that the DPRK’s working class is the hardcore unit of the Juche revolution of implementing exactly the Party’s policies with absolute loyalty to the leader.
Under the care of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il have grown up into the hardcore unit of the Juche revolution and the eldest son of the country and they are now performing heroic feats in the building of a powerful socialist country.
The heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il only support the revolutionary ideas of the President and the Chairman and the policies of the WPK and embody the absolute loyalty to the Party and the leader, the thoroughgoing consciousness of revolution and the spirit of self-reliance. This is the ideological and spiritual characteristic of the heroic working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
The new term clarifies the character and position of the working class for the first time in history on the basis of the leader-centered theory. It reflects the WPK’s resolute will and decision to carry forward the President’s and the Chairman’s ideas and leadership of attaching importance to the working class. The President and the Chairman relied on the working class to bring about huge socio-historical changes and tide over severe difficulties. It also contains the big trust and expectation of wishing the working class to fully discharge their historic mission and duty in the implementation of the revolutionary cause of Juche, the revolutionary cause of the leader.
