Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- Greenhouse farms under the Ministry of Agriculture in various parts of the country have carried out their vegetable production plans by 101 percent since the start of the 80-day campaign.
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and those in every province, city and county made sure that greenhouse farms increased production by ensuring appropriate temperature and humidity for the growth of vegetables in consideration of their species and taking nutritional care of them.
The Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District has over-fulfilled its plan through rational distribution of vegetables and introduction of advanced methods like hydroponics into cultivation.
Greenhouse farms in Mangyongdae and Sunan districts have over-fulfilled their plans by properly doing manuring and cultivation as specified in technical regulations.
Those in Nampho City, striving to put vegetable cultivation on a higher scientific and intensive basis, have carried out their daily plans by 104 percent.
Greenhouse farms in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae and North Hamgyong provinces have also boosted production by applying good-quality compost and learning after others' good experience.
