Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Personages of different countries issued statements and articles on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's demise.
Mostafa Jamal Haider, chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, said in a statement that Kim Jong Il devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people with his lofty view of life, continuing his long and arduous journey for the people.
Manju Ratna Sakya, chairman of the Nepal Journalist Association, said in a statement that Kim Jong Il developed the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and set it as the monolithic guiding ideology of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Il ensured peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the region by enforcing the Songun politics when the world socialist movement underwent serious turns and twists and the imperialist allied forces were escalating their threats to the DPRK, the statement noted.
Phanindra Raj Pant, secretary general of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, said in an article that the DPRK vigorously advanced along the road of independence and socialism under the guidance of Kim Jong Il, adding the Korean people highly praise him as the father of the great socialist family.
The secretary general of the Romanian Workers' Association noted in an article that the Korean People's Army, which developed into the army strong in ideology and faith under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, demonstrated its might as the main force not only for defending the country but also for the socialist construction.
Korean socialism was safeguarded, thanks to Kim Jong Il, the article stressed.
