Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was elected as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) at its 8th Congress held early in January Juche 110 (2021).
All the people in the DPRK are now extending the highest glory to the Supreme Leader, the representative of the WPK and the symbol of the dignified state and the people.
Paek Myong Sim, an official of the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, told KCNA:
It is the great happiness and pride of all the party members and other people to hold the Supreme Leader at the top post of the WPK.
The Supreme Leader has wisely guided the party building and activities to be conducted as required by the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and developed the WPK into a genuine mother party by thoroughly embodying the people-first principle in overall Party work.
True to his high intention, we will further consolidate a harmonious whole of the Party and the masses as firm as a rock by applying the popular and realistic character to the Party work and thus become true servants faithful to the people in realizing the people-first politics.
Kim Nam Su, vice-chairman of the Tongdaewon District People's Committee in Pyongyang City, said:
Our people have keenly felt the Supreme Leader's outstanding leadership ability in the course of braving severe trials and difficulties and achieving eye-opening events and great innovations one after another in recent years.
In those days, we came to be convinced that his determination and will are just science and victory and the bright future is sure to come at an early date when following his leadership.
Ryu Kwang Il, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, noted that the Supreme Leader has led the young people to perform feats in the worthwhile struggle, valuing them and firmly believing in their inexhaustible strength.
