Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- The news about Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's election as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) at its 8th Congress is stirring up the young people of the DPRK.
Kim Chung Il, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, told KCNA:
The hearts of the youths are filled with great glory and boundless happiness of holding the Supreme Leader at the top post of the dignified Party.
The Supreme Leader has put the youths in the van as the reserves, an advancing group and a wing of the Party, who rush ahead along the course of the Korean revolution set by the Party.
We, the young people, will as ever vigorously advance along the road indicated by the great Party, cherishing deep in mind his loving care and trust.
Kim Tong Chol, head of the Kim Jin Youth Shock Brigade in the Songnam Youth Coal Mine, said:
Youths of the coal mine have keenly felt through their own experience the truth that the prosperity and development of the country will be achieved at an early date when following the guidance of the Supreme Leader.
With high honor of having him as the general secretary of the WPK, we will dig out coal in a larger quantity to contribute to carrying out the new five-year plan for national economic development.
