WPK General Secretary Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulatory Message to General Secretary of C.C., LPRP

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), sent a congratulatory message to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), on Jan. 16.

In the message Kim Jong Un extended warm congratulations and comradely greetings to Thongloun Sisoulith on the successful holding of the 11th Congress of the LPRP and on his election as general secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP.

Your assumption of the heavy responsibility as the head of the LPRP is an expression of high trust and expectation of all members of your Party and the Lao people for you who have devoted yourself to the party, state and people for a long period, the message said.

It is the firm will of our Party to steadily strengthen the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Laos provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries and developed in the common struggle for socialism, it noted.

The Supreme Leader in the message hoped that the fraternal Lao people would make a new advance in the struggle for implementing the decision of the 11th Party Congress under the leadership of the general secretary.

He in the message sincerely wished the Lao general secretary good health and great success in his responsible work for further enhancing the leadership role of the party and building a prosperous socialist state.
