Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an editorial says that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) is the greatest fortune and bliss for our Party and people and a great political event which provided a sure guarantee to the victory of our own-style socialism and promised its rosy future.
The editorial says that the past nine years of acuteness, into which the history of the arduous Korean revolution has been condensed, were a period that has witnessed the manifestation of the great personality of Kim Jong Un all over the world.
Kim Jong Un's election as the WPK general secretary is an eruption of the invariable faith of our people who are determined to firmly carry forward the lifeline of the revolution, the editorial says, and goes on:
The reality of our country where the ideology and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are firmly defended and shed infinite light makes everyone confident of the dynamic advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche led by the Supreme Leader.
Utterly absolute is the trust of our people in the Supreme Leader who is identical to the President and the Chairman in ideology, guidance and personality.
Kim Jong Un is the father of people who makes ceaseless forced march of selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, finding his utmost pleasure and pride in going through hardships for the wellbeing of the people.
The path of glory to achieving the prosperity of our state and realizing the ideal and desire of our people lies in firmly trusting in and following the Supreme Leader only.
The editorial calls on everyone to wage a vigorous struggle for a fresh victory in the socialist construction, full of confidence and optimism, under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. -0-
