There took place mass rallies in Kim Chaek, Songrim, Sunchon, Sinpho and Samjiyon cities, Ryongsong District and Pongsan, Ryongchon, Anak, Janggang and Anbyon counties to extend the greatest glory to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un upon his election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and to vow to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the WPK.
Attending the rallies were officials of local Party, power and economic organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments and cooperative farms, and working people.
Speakers at the rallies spoke about the immense pride and happiness of our people invariably holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem at the top post representing and leading the WPK.
They expressed their pledge to confidently advance towards a new victory, fully supporting the decisions made at the 8th Party Congress which indicated clear struggle tasks and ways for advancing the socialist cause to the next stage of victory.
Saying that on-going struggle for implementing the decisions made at the Party Congress is an all-people general advance for bringing about another upsurge in our revolution and achieving a new victory of our own-style socialism, they called upon officials and working people to grope for innovative way for thoroughly implementing the five-year plan for national economic development.
At the rallies speakers vowed to direct all efforts to making an epoch-making progress in the socialist construction by remaining faithful to Kim Jong Un and by throwing themselves into implementing the decisions made at the Party Congress, guided by the noble ideals of "The people are God", single-minded unity and self-reliance.
