Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The educational sector of the DPRK has turned out in the work to carry out the tasks set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
In particular, officials and researchers of the Pedagogical Institute are mapping out the stage plans in detail to attain the general goal for putting the country's educational science on a new high stage and thus definitely guaranteeing the building of an educational power, a talent power with educational science.
In this regard, Kim Song Il, vice-director of the institute, told KCNA:
A work is stepped up to draw up in a more scientific and practical way the five-year plan for the development of the state educational science reflecting the idea and spirit of the 8th WPK Congress.
Works are planned to establish a well-regulated system for guiding in a unified way the research work for the country's educational science centered on the institute, strengthen the research force for educational science and open up new fields in the educational science and conduct researches into the application fields urgently needed for the educational practice.
For the present, the institute concentrates its efforts on the study of the world trend of educational development and on the work for making various kinds of multimedia programs to be used in the educational work.
It is also pushing ahead with the preparations for working out the second program for the universal 12-year compulsory education, generalizing the comprehensive practical education method for training creative talents to all schools across the country and intensifying the study of foreign languages teaching methods. -0-
