Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Thursday in an editorial says that the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, on the basis of a strict and detailed analysis of the implementation of the five-year strategy for the national economic development, set forth the tasks to be carried out in the economic field within another five years.
The new five-year plan is the most scientific and revolutionary economic strategy to lay solid foundations for revitalizing the overall economy and improving the people's standard of living at the present stage, the editorial says, adding:
The new five-year plan for the national economic development is a task for the struggle vital to defending ourselves, and stepwise goal to be attained without fail for the sake of materialization of our beautiful dreams and ideals.
In order to outrun others, all the citizens of the Republic should turn out as one in implementing the decisions made at the 8th Party Congress, single-mindedly rallied around the Party.
We, the heroic Korean people, should clearly show once again how to break through all challenges and difficulties in our advance and carry the Party's intention and determination into practice.
The masters and performers of the implementation of the new five-year plan are none other than our people.
We can surely attain the high goals of the new five-year plan, if we stage a vigorous all-people onward march by making redoubled efforts with maximum consciousness.
The great Party wisely leads us and we have a large contingent of talents, who have attained any cutting-edge sci-tech goals, true to Party's determination, and the single-minded unity which is unique and the strongest in the world.
The editorial calls upon all the people to strive for implementing the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Party Congress and achieving a new victory of socialism, firmly united around the Party, with confidence in victory. -0-
