Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- In the revolutionary battle sites of Mt Paektu of the DPRK, there is the Mupho Bivouac.
One day in September Juche 60 (1971), Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Mupho Bivouac where President Kim Il Sung stayed overnight with the main force of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
That day, the Chairman had a significant talk with an official.
He said that he came to visualize a plan for formulating the revolutionary idea of the President while casting the River Tuman where the President left his sacred footmarks and anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners shed blood. The revolutionary idea of the President is incomparable in width and depth with any classics and his revolutionary history is an immortal heroic epic that mankind should keep in their mind forever, he added, repeating "Kimilsungism!"
Then he declared that we would formulate the President's revolutionary idea as Kimilsungism and announce it to the world in the near future and hold the banner of Kimilsungism high in the van of the era.
On February 19, 1974, the Chairman formulated the President's revolutionary idea as Kimilsungism and solemnly proclaimed the modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea.
This grand programme calls for advancing the Korean revolution with Kimilsungism as the only guidelines and transforming man, society and nature as required by Kimilsungism to build a society where independence of the popular masses is fully realized. In the course of carrying the programme into practice, all the people in the DPRK grew up into persons strong in idea and faith and the foundation of the country's self-supporting economy was further consolidated and its self-reliant defence capability strengthened remarkably.
The DPRK people are now winning a fresh victory of Korean-style socialism, holding aloft the banner of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
