Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), on Feb. 22.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in his message extended warm felicitations and comradely greeting to the chairman on his 86th birthday.
The message said that the chairman is a true model overseas revolutionary, who assumed the heavy responsibility for the movement of Koreans in Japan when the homeland underwent the biggest hardship, and has resolutely defended and proudly glorified Chongryon, the patriotic legacy bequeathed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The message noted that the Workers' Party of Korea highly appreciates and always remembers the distinguished exploits of the chairman etched in the development course of Chongryon and the movement of Koreans in Japan.
The message hoped that the chairman would work harder for dear Chongryon and beloved compatriots in Japan with the vigor he had displayed when setting out on the 625-mile journey across the eastern mountainous area of the homeland 24 years ago to follow the undying course covered by Chairman Kim Jong Il with a death-defying spirit.
Expressing thanks again to the chairman for his noble fidelity and sincerity, the message wished him good health and his wife and other family members happiness.
