Shortly ago, the League of Arab States held a minister-level emergency meeting in Egypt.
Confirming that the cause of Palestine was a major cause of the Arab world, the participants called on all Arab countries to support the legitimate rights of Palestine including the rights to self-determination and repatriation and to found a state with East al-Quds as the capital and solve the problem of Palestinian refugees fairly according to UN General Assembly resolution No. 194.
They rejected the one-sided plans and measures of Israel to infringe the sovereignty of Palestine and destroy the two states solution, and demanded implementation of the UN Security Council resolution on discontinuing the settlement of Jews in East al-Quds and other places completely and immediately.
Not only the Arab world but also African countries are raising their voices in support of Palestine and against Israel.
In the recent 34th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, the member nations promised to strive to realize the founding of the state of Palestine with the boundary line before the 1967 Six-Day War in collaboration with the international community.
The UN secretary general recently told the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People that the Israeli authorities should stop all moves for settlement in the Palestinian territory, adding it was necessary to put an end to the occupation according to international law, corresponding UN resolutions and bilateral agreements and realize the “two states solution” based on the boundary line before the Six-Day War.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs urged the Israeli army to stop removing Palestinian villages in the West Bank.
Under these circumstances, the International Criminal Court, asserting the Gaza Strip, East al-Quds and West Bank were under its jurisdiction, announced that it approved a plan for legal investigation into war crimes committed under the Israeli occupation.
The more aggressive Israel becomes in its settlement moves infringing the territorial sovereignty of the Palestinians, the greater the opposition and rejection of the international community will become against it.
