Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- At a meeting on February 22, the workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex appealed to the working people across the country to carry out without fail the first-year tasks for the five-year plan, true to the spirit of the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party.
As regards it, leading newspapers here on Wednesday carry editorials.
Rodong Sinmun says that it is the ardent appeal of the workers of the complex to hit at any cost the target of this year's campaign by steadily carrying forward the traditions of patriotism and loyalty of the former generations and make a report of victory to the Central Committee of the Party.
It notes that the appeal made by the workers of the complex in the first year's advance for implementing the decisions made at the Party congress is redoubling the patriotic zeal of the working people to make a revolution.

It is the proud tradition of our people to make uninterrupted innovations and progress and successive offensive, neither resting on their laurels nor yielding to ordeals.
The appeal of the workers of the complex is the expression of the pride and honor of our people who have ushered in an era of fresh development under the guidance of the Party, the manifestation of a brilliant victory won by them while resolutely overcoming every difficulty and the eruption of their ardent patriotism to exalt the dignity and prestige of our state.
All officials, Party members and other working people should turn out as one in hearty response to the appeal and thus make the whole country pulsate with the spirit of a leap forward and innovation.
They should have a firm determination to thoroughly implement the decisions of the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party at any cost.
This year's campaign is the sacred struggle directly linked with the work for splendidly greeting the significant year 2022. We should prepare a floral basket of immortality and best wishes to the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il through our patriotic struggle of devotion in 2021 and with proud successes in the struggle.
