Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- Seminars on Chairman Kim Jong Il 's exploits took place in different countries on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
They were held in Russia, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, the UK, France, Serbia, Libya and Brazil between February 13 and 20.
Speeches were made at the seminars.
The chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea said that Kim Jong Il was born as the Shining Star of Mt Paektu and grew up to be a great revolutionary in the flames of the great anti-Japanese war, adding that he developed the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung to provide a treasured sword for the popular masses' accomplishment of independence.
The general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, the vice-chief of the Milano Center for the Study of the Juche Idea and the chief editor of La Voce highly praised Kim Jong Il as a great master in ideology and theory who indicated the way to be followed by the progressive mankind through his energetic thinking and writing activities, a peerless Songun brilliant commander who firmly defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country and the genuine father of the people who devoted himself to the happiness of the people all his life.
The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany said that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea could advance toward victory in the face of all sorts of trials and difficulties despite blockade and pressure put by the imperialists as there was the leadership of Kim Jong Il , an outstanding statesman.
Speakers including the chairman of the Scientific-Political Circle for Studying the Immortal Works of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in Hungary reaffirmed that the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il in the accomplishment of the prosperity of the country, the happiness of the people, the reunification of the country and the cause of global independence will be immortal.
