Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The DPRK people out in a drive to implement the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) are now vigorously advancing along the broad avenue towards prosperity by self-reliance with confidence in great victory.
True to the WPK's idea that the creation and construction should be conducted our own way and by our own efforts, they have brought about a great change in building a powerful socialist country despite manifold hardships under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Kim Jong Un reaffirmed that to build a powerful socialist nation under the uplifted banner of self-reliance is the firm political line and has led all the people to continuous victory for achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance.
Whenever he visited the grand construction sites, he said that we could neither fall back nor remain stationary overwhelmed by trials and difficulties, stressing that we should choose the prosperity based on our own efforts only as an immutable road of development and keep holding higher the banner of self-reliance as we do now.
Thanks to his energetic guidance, Samjiyon City near Mt Paektu was transformed into a model mountain city as an epitome of modern civilization, a vegetable greenhouse farm and a model of socialist rural modern houses built in Jungphyong land in the east coast and a hot spring resort in Yangdok land even under the difficult circumstances.
Last year, the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory was completed and new houses were built in flood- and typhoon-hit areas.
In those days, the people of the DPRK came to have a firm conviction that a great new victory is guaranteed only when they advance along the broad avenue towards prosperity by dint of self-reliance. -0-
