Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday dedicates an article to the 6th anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's immortal classic work "Let the Entire Party, the Whole Army and All the People Conduct a Vigorous Forest Restoration Campaign to Cover the Mountains of the Country with Green Woods".
The work, published on February 26, Juche 104 (2015), dealt with the detailed tasks and ways for restoring the forests of the country, including the matters of simultaneously pushing forward with tree-planting and forest conservation, developing afforestation science and technology and tightening the supervision over tree-planting and forest conservation and vigorously conducting a mass movement and information activities for successfully ensuring the forest restoration campaign.
To plant and tend trees is a patriotic work not only for bettering the living environment of the people and ensuring their happy life but also for the rising generation and eternal prosperity of the country, the article says, and goes on:
For the past six years since the publication of the work, all the people and service personnel have devoted themselves to the patriotic work for turning mountains of the country into golden and treasure mountains under the guidance of the Party.
The successes so far achieved are just the first step in the campaign for forest restoration. We should not rest on our laurels as forest restoration is a prolonged, difficult and complicated work to be carried on to the end.
Only when all party members and working people continue to strive, bearing in mind the importance of forest restoration, the grandiose plan of the Party for turning all mountains of the country into golden and treasure mountains can be translated into reality. -0-
