Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Friday in an editorial says the ongoing general onward march is the one of idea accelerated by the unlimited spiritual strength of the popular masses.
Steadfast is our Party's will to accelerate the advance of the revolution by suffusing the whole country with confidence in sure victory, indomitable faith and fighting spirit of self-reliance and fortitude through the revolutionary ideological offensive, says the editorial, adding:
Our revolution has entered a new period of development and upsurge. The changed era and heavy revolutionary tasks urgently call for radically increasing the ideological and spiritual strength of the popular masses who are the masters of the revolution and construction and the driving force for implementing the Party policies.
There are still considerable obstacles and challenges facing us. In order to successfully accomplish the five-year plan for national economic development by tiding over the ordeals and difficulties thwarting our advance, we should wage a more courageous offensive, and to this end, we should give precedence to ideological work and make it focused, steady and accurate.
We should wage an ideological offensive for increasing the masses' enthusiasm for revolution and struggle to inspire all people to turn out as one in the on-going struggle. Then there will be neither difficulties insurmountable nor fortress unconquerable for us.
It is a review of the history of the protracted Korean revolution that the revolutionary ideological offensive is just a powerful weapon for working such miracles as creating a thing out of nothing and turning impossible things into possible ones.
The editorial calls upon all the people to wage a dynamic struggle for a new victory of Korean-style socialism under the uplifted banner of the Juche-oriented theory of giving importance to ideology, true to the guidance of the great Party. -0-
