The Unjong Tea Factory was wonderfully built and inaugurated.
The factory equipped with all processes ranging from water purification to packing produces health tea with unique flavour and fragrance.
President Kim Il Sung planted tea saplings and grew them in the garden of his house long ago with a plan to produce tea by the country itself and provide it to the people and Chairman Kim Jong Il named the tea produced in the country "Unjong Tea".
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took measures to build a tea factory so that the people could have tea conveniently at any time and place, and to expand the tea growing area on an annual basis and improve the manuring and cultivation of tea trees and tea service.
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture pushed ahead with its construction of new production, subsidiary and public service and other buildings in the area of Namsa-ri, Rangnang District, Pyongyang. Officials, scientists and technicians of relevant units and factory completed a solar energy generation system and power generation system based on coal gasification, while building the integrated production system and ensuring the domestic production and packing of equipment.
A water-purifying process, a tea-filter process and other production processes have been completed on a highly automatic and streamlined footing, and the factory is put on a perfect germ-free and dust-free basis.
The factory now turns out green tea, black tea and Cholgwanum tea.
Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ju Chol Gyu, vice-premier and minister of Agriculture, and officials concerned looked round the Unjong Tea Factory on February 26.
