Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The spring tree-planting has been launched in the DPRK on the occasion of the Tree-planting Day.
Officials and working people across the country planted one million and hundreds of thousands of trees on March 2 alone.
They took an active part in the tree-planting, looking back upon the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great persons who initiated the tree-planting movement and worked heart and soul to turn the whole country into thick woodland and greenery.
The officials of working people's organizations and ministries have turned out as one in planting trees in hearty response to the Party's intention for covering the mountains of the country with green woods.
They planted good species of trees and flower shrubs, including pine tree and pine-nut tree, around the statues of the peerlessly great men, revolutionary sites and other places.
People in all provinces, cities and counties planted trees that day while stringently meeting anti-epidemic requirements.
