General Secretary of WPK Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to General Secretary of C.C., LPRP

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Monday sent greetings to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

The message extended warm felicitations to the general secretary of the LPRP, its Central Committee and all its members on the occasion of its 66th founding anniversary.

The message said that the founding of the LPRP was a historic event that brought about a fundamental turn in realizing the long-cherished desire of the Lao people to achieve the liberation of the country and build a new independent and prosperous society.

It expressed pleasure over the great achievements made by the fraternal Lao people in their efforts for consolidating the people's democratic system and advancing the socialist cause under the leadership of the LPRP.

It expressed the firm belief that the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries would grow stronger in line with the needs of the new era and the desire of the peoples of the two countries.

It also wholeheartedly hoped that the general secretary of the LPRP would be in good health and make greater successes in his responsible work of organizing and leading the entire Party and all the people to the drive for carrying out the decisions made at the 11th Congress of the Party.
