Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), received a message of greeting from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 11.
The message extended sincere and the warmest congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the friendly DPRK people on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
It hoped that, as desired by the great President, the DPRK would develop into a prosperous and powerful country vigorously advancing along the road of progress and prosperity while smashing all challenges and obstacles, which obliterate its sovereignty and hinder successes achieved in all fields.
The message paid the highest respect, saying that Syria will keep making efforts to develop historic relations between the two countries and open up a new chapter of mutual cooperation in the interests of the two peoples.
