Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) -- April 15, Juche 1 (1912) was the significant day when President Kim Il Sung was born.
In his revolutionary lifetime, the President met more than 70 000 foreigners of 130-odd countries.
Among them were party and state heads, personages of political, social and academic circles, militarists, religionists and resistance fighters of African countries.
The President met persons of different strata on a visit to the DPRK to cultivate friendship with them. Fascinated by his noble human love, many foreigners opened their hearts to him.
The President met with Norodom Sihanouk, the great king of Cambodia, for the first time at the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Bandung Conference in April 1965, and had invariably kept his sense of obligation to the great king for nearly 30 years.
Fidel Castro Ruz, former president of the Council of State of Cuba, said with deep emotion that he would always remember Comrade Kim Il Sung who had shown his love and respect for the Cuban revolution and people and extended full support to the Cuban people's efforts and intention.
Among those personages praising President Kim Il Sung are politicians of hostile states and Western countries.
After being honored with the audience of Kim Il Sung , former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was so fascinated by his personality as to say that President Kim Il Sung is greater than that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln put together.
Former Portuguese President Francisco Da Costa Gomes confessed that President Kim Il Sung is the great man moving the world with benevolence.
Former French President Francois Mitterrand at a gathering praised President Kim Il Sung as a great head of state and the man of extraordinary caliber, adding that he was the only one among the G-7 leaders who was honored with the audience of President Kim Il Sung .
Indeed, President Kim Il Sung is the peerlessly great man highly praised by humankind as the incarnation of benevolence and the sun of the 20th century. -0-
