Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday says in an article that to strengthen Party cells is the bedrock and mainstay of strengthening the entire Party and achieving its unity, stressing that the Korean revolution can advance victoriously when the work for strengthening Party cells is radically improved.
As a man can keep good health when the cells in his body are robust and work well, a political party can grow strong when its cells are healthy and fulfill their function and role, the article says, and goes on:
Strengthening the Party is, in essence, the organizational and ideological consolidation of its ranks and the consolidation of its mass foundation.
Our Party cells have grown to number hundreds of thousands since the formation of the first Party organization at the dawn of the Korean revolution. They have successfully discharged their function and role as the lowest-echelon Party organizations in carrying out the revolution and construction.
In the face of many ordeals and hardships during the protracted struggle, our Party has successfully advanced the Korean revolution by mobilizing the popular masses. This is thanks to the Party cells that have made strenuous efforts to carry out the Party's line and policy.
At present, our Party urges hundreds of thousands of its cells to firmly defend their revolutionary positions on the principle of carrying out their responsibilities per square metre and to work under the fighting goal of revolutionizing and communizing them.
When all the Party cells responsibly carry out the work for transforming the Party members and other working people into communist-type ones and for improving their units as required by the Party's policies, it is possible to strengthen our Party in every way and vigorously advance the overall socialist construction. -0-
