Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- A lighting festival "Wonders of Light-2021" has begun here since April 18 to commemorate the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung ).
The places around Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 and the foot of Jangdae Hill were crowded with people who gathered to watch the festival.
The mysterious art of light began with the display of the title "Wonders of Light-2021", letters "Day of the Sun" and numbers "4.15".
The festival vividly showed the feature of our socialist motherland ushering in a new era of development and era of our state-first principle under the guidance of the great Party and the worthwhile struggle and life of our people building rosy future through creation and construction.
Scenes making unique reflection of the era of miracle and prosperity unprecedented in the 5000 year-old Korean history made the people look back upon the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who accomplished the historic cause of founding the Party, the state and the army in the most successful way and provided the eternal foundation of building a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence.
The festival showed ever-changing scenes mirroring the current era, in which the laugh of our people and song of their happiness are growing with each passing day under the care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who gives steady continuity to the history of people-first principle, and the rosy future.
The festival which has developed into another peculiar cultural event to be loved by the people was acclaimed by the spectators.
