Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- The United Confederation of Koreans in Russia held a celebration at its building on April 11 on the occasions of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 2nd anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's visit to the Russian Federation.
Attending it were members of the confederation, Koreans in Russia and members of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the Russian group for international solidarity with the DPRK.
The participants laid a floral basket and bunches of flowers before the art works portraying President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the office room of the confederation and made a bow before them.
Kim Chil Song, chairman of the United Confederation of Koreans in Russia, gave a congratulatory address to be followed by speeches.
The speakers said that the idea and feats of the President who devoted his whole life to the happiness of the people and made great contributions to the cause of global independence would shine forever.
The DPRK has been put on the status of world-class power, thanks to Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the idea and cause of the preceding leaders, they noted.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's first meeting with President Putin served as a great driving force for developing the DPRK-Russia relations in the new century, they added.
Then, there was an art performance given by Korean artistes in Russia.
