Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, looked round the completed third and fourth districts of Ryongmaedo Tideland.
The premier was accompanied by officials of South Hwanghae Province and relevant units.
Officials and workers of the South Hwanghae Provincial Tideland Reclamation General Enterprise completed the third and fourth districts of Ryongmaedo Tideland by dint of their spirit of self-reliance through indomitable struggle, true to our Party’s far-reaching grand nature-remaking plan, thus securing thousands of hectares of new land.
Going round the endless stretch of the anti-tidal dike of the tideland, he gave pep talks to the builders who created an eternal wealth for the country’s prosperity by devotedly implementing the Party’s policies with a single mind of loyalty that the DPRK puts into practice anything once it is planned and determined by the Party Central Committee. He instructed officials to inform the relevant units of the completion.
He stressed the need to make substantial contributions to the agricultural production of the country by introducing the strain highly resistant to salt. He took measures to proactively introduce the advanced methods and technical means into future reclamation projects to speed up construction with fewer materials.
He called on the builders to steadily push ahead with tideland reclamation, the patriotic work of lasting significance, and thus make a tangible contribution to implementing the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Party, bearing in mind the noble intention of the Party to bring about a decisive turn in the agricultural development of the country and food supply for the people.
