The 14th Plenary Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held on April 30.
It was presided over by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
Present at the meeting were Vice-Chairmen Thae Hyong Chol and Pak Yong Il, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and members of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly.
Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
The meeting brought up the issues on adopting the DPRK Law on the Work of the Revolutionary Relics, the DPRK Law on the Protection of Software and the DPRK Law on the Goods ID Management and revising and supplementing the Law of the DPRK on the Protection of the Environment and the DPRK Law on Construction for discussion as agenda items.
Explanations were given on the main contents of the relevant laws and proposed revised and supplemented bills on the Law of the DPRK on the Protection of the Environment and the DPRK Law on Construction deliberated at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
On the basis of the study and discussion of the presented agenda items, the meeting adopted with a unanimous approval the Decrees of the Standing Committee of the SPA "On Adopting the DPRK Law on the Work of the Revolutionary Relics", "On Adopting the DPRK Law on the Protection of Software", "On Adopting the DPRK Law on the Goods ID Management", "On Revising and Supplementing the Law of the DPRK on the Protection of the Environment" and "On Revising and Supplementing the DPRK Law on Construction".
