Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday in an editorial says that it is the appeal of the Party and call of the times to live and struggle like the heroes of the post-war rehabilitation period and the Chollima age in the 1950s.
The most brilliant progress and leap forward in building the prosperous country were made during the post-war rehabilitation period and the Chollima age, the editorial says, and goes on:
The generations of our grandfathers and fathers built a socialist system on this land in response to the call of the Party and solidified foundations of independent powerful country in the spirit of Chollima. Herein lies their outstanding exploits for the country and revolution.
So acute was the political situation and so needy was the economic conditions in our country after the war. Our people who won a victory in the war at the cost of their blood had to begin the reconstruction with empty hands. But they were full of love, trust, hope and optimism and firmly united around the Party. They glorified the country as the one rushing ahead at the speed of Chollima.
To live and struggle like heroes of the post-war rehabilitation period and the Chollima age in the 1950s is the natural duty of our generation.
The editorial calls for leaving the wise and strong creative spirit of our generation in the history of building a prosperous country like the heroes in the 1950s. -0-
