Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Young people and students of the DPRK held meetings in Pyongyang City and all provinces to vow to fully demonstrate the might of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Reports and speeches were made at the meetings attended by official concerned, youth league officials, youth and students of Pyongyang and every province.
Reporters and speakers referred to the fact that the recent 10th congress of the youth league reaffirmed the faith and oath of the young vanguards to remain absolutely faithful to the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea and give full play to their heroism and bravery in accomplishing the cause of the Party, and marked a turning point in putting the youth movement of the country on a new stage.
Saying that the whole country watches the heroic advance by millions of young people, they expressed their strong determination to become passionate loyalists who don't hesitate to go through thick and thin in order to implement the Party's intentions and plans.
They vowed to perform new miracles and feats in all worksites for a great upswing by emulating the fighting spirit and traits of the heroes in the post-war rehabilitation period of the 1950s and in the Chollima age under the uplifted slogan "Let us demonstrate the mettle of patriotic youth in the worthwhile struggle for socialist construction!"
They stressed that they will, regarding it as the most sacred duty and supreme patriotism to safeguard the country, firmly defend the country with arms and become genuine paragons of socialist virtue and culture so as to take the lead in the efforts for ensuring that good deeds, virtue and beautiful traits prevail throughout the country.
They expressed their pledge to fully demonstrate the mettle of the young vanguards of the great era of Kim Jong Un in the ongoing general forward march for ushering in a new period of a great upsurge and turn in the revolution along the path indicated by the Party Congress by following the fighting spirit and traits of the youth of the former generations who upheld the leadership of the Party in the van.
Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
