Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Land- and manpower-saving tree nurseries have been built in provinces of the DPRK to lay a solid foundation for the sapling production. Their production is put on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis.
In May Juche 105 (2016), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed the need to build a modern sapling producer in each province so as to supply enough saplings needed for covering the whole country with trees and flowers.
True to his instructions, the Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery was built first as a model and standard of provincial tree nurseries in 2018. The nursery covering an area of scores of hectares has greenhouse with plastic sheets, outdoor cultivation ground, circular cutting bed, substrate-producing ground, seed selection and sowing grounds, etc. It can produce tens of millions of saplings annually.
Following it, modern tree nurseries came into being in North Hamgyong, North and South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces and Nampho City to produce saplings twice a year.
