Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on May 28.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in his message extended warm congratulations to Bashar Al-Assad upon the successful presidential election in Syria and his reelection as the president of the Syrian Arab Republic.
He said that through the election the Syrian government and people demonstrated at home and abroad their will to resolutely frustrate ceaseless aggressive and obstructive moves and threats by the imperialists and all sorts of hostile forces and to firmly defend the sovereignty and security of the country under the leadership of the president.
Expressing belief that the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Syria would steadily develop, he sincerely wished the Syrian president greater successes in his responsible work for building peaceful and prosperous Syria.
